My wife passed on in May of 2006 from breast cancer. I'm looking for companionship initially, with a view to a permanent relationship but wish to take it slow for the moment.
Due to my wifes long illness Ive put the beef on but working to get fit again.
I work in the Papakura District Court.
I have four children, all over 21 years of age; two girls and 2 boys. My youngest daughter has a daughter also.
Im looking for a woman who has a sense of humour, who likes music e.g. Classical, Latin and Jazz. Also likes the theatre. Im well trained around the house e.g. dont mind vacuuming or cooking or doing the washing. I dont mind the independent streak in a woman as I find this a benefit.
I have very strong convictions on marriage vows. Im a firm believer in making marriage the hardest institution to get into and the easiest to get out of in stead of the other way round. Why do I say this, well I believe most couples that have difficulties, forget to communicate, that its a partnership for life and be prepared to give to give and take and change with the relationship. You have to work at it every day. Its not too hard to say I love you at least once a day. Its not hard to ring her during the day to see how she is. Its not hard to bring her flowers or a box of chocolates or take out for dinner. She is your best mate, best friend and lover. Respect her always. Trust her implicitly.
When Tisa, my wife was going through a bad patch with her chemotherapy, she thought I didnt love her any more. I new by her body language that she wasnt happy with me so I wrote her a letter expressing my thoughts, my love for her and my undying commitment to her; as part of the marriage vows says, In sickness and in Health. At the time I was her editor of her newspaper for the South Auckland Bosom Buddies and wrote this letter as an open letter to her but wanted to do this publicly.
So you see I enjoy the company of a woman.
