I slip back into my eternal slumber. I don't want to be, just a number. I am an old soul, with a heart of gold. I am so brave and ever so bold. A chance at love, may I have this dance? Drifting off into this imaginary romance. I let go, of all my regret. I know I am worthy, despite the neglect. I will triumph, through life's horrendous ways. For one moment to find, many better days. I close my book, yet I continue on. I do believe, I am someone. Regardless of my wrongs, yet strong about my rights.
