I Would Describe Myself As

I am kind, considerate, and an honest person. I give my mother credit for that, because she taught me to live by the Golden Rule. I literally hear her whispering in my ear "would you want them to do that to you"? Fortunately, she doesn't have to do that very often.

I have been looking for someone, all my life, to grow old with and build wonderful memories. Of course, who isn't looking for that, or they would not be on this site. But it's not that easy to know when you have met the one.

I want someone that will join me in traveling around the US and seeing the beautiful areas we have here. Either we do it by plane, train, RV, my Can Am Spyder, or maybe even by horse!

This would be a good time to say that I am what some would call a lipstick lesbian. However, I don't see the need to wear dresses or skirts, but I could (I don't own any though). The women I have lived with always seemed to leave things up to me to fix and they liked doing the cooking. For the record, I am a self-taught handy woman and am pretty good to have around, but I don't like people assuming that I can or want to do the job! I would like to cook with someone and work together on taking care things that need fixing or repairing.

Don't think I am the masculine sort because I have a motorcycle. I have a Can Am Spyder 3-wheeler and a trailer I pull behind on long trips. The calmness and peace it gives me I'm sure can be experienced by the right person.

Lastly, I am a very sensitive person. In other words, I cry watching Hallmark commercials and anything about St Judes which I donate to all the time (I donate to Wounded Warriors as well). I try my best not to show my emotions, and I simply cannot hold back my tears. I'll tell you right not, it is not for show. In fact, it's embarrassing for me, but my mother assured me it was okay and just ignore those that can't show their emotions.

I hope to retire this year. I am a consultant and have been self-employed since 2003. I got my Virginia Real Estate Appraisers license in 2009 and began doing appraisals for a company that I continue to work with today. I moved to North Carolina in 2012 and did not transfer my license, but I analyze the appraisals for the owner who is a certified Appraiser in Maryland, Virginia and DC, so I stay busy. Good thing about this work I can do it anywhere I have access to the Internet.

I have been looking for my Forever Home since 2019. Then Covid happened, my parents passing away, and the interest rates skyrocketing, I didn't start searching again till last year. I'm looking in the higher elevations around Asheville, NC, which would be above 2500'+ elevation. Maybe if I meet the right one they may want to join me in this search. These mountains are beautiful, even though we did have some severe damage during Helene. That's a story for another time.

I will leave on this note, I am a Christian, I do not attend church but feel I have a religious experience every time I'm on my bike or the Blue Ridge Parkway. I feel sorry for those that don't believe in heaven because I have lost a lot of people and the thought of not being able to see them again breaks my heart! I do let 4 letter words slip every now and then too.
